CustomEyes has opened a new Lee’s Summit, MO location at 3660 NE Ralph Powell Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO. CustomEyes has four doctors to serve all of their patient’s vision needs – Dr. Scott Drake, Dr. Linda Drake, Dr. Jeffrey Enevoldsen and Dr. Jennifer Luebbe.

City Council approves funding to LS entrepreneurial group, Velocity
Recognizing the need for a consistent message on entrepreneurship and in providing resources to startups and small businesses in the area, the Lee’s Summit City Council approved a measure to Velocity Lee’s Summit to provide $145,000 in funding.
“Velocity will be our secret ingredient in creating the most productive environment to help our start-up businesses and entrepreneurs grow and succeed. Funding Velocity shows our city council’s commitment to economic strategic planning with an identifiable return on investment, measurable in increases in our employment and tax base,” Baird explained.
Lee’s Summit Bee Keeper is opening a second honor stand due to popular demand. The first stand is on Hamblen Road, north of Gann Lane in Greenwood. Coates said he will open his second stand on Southwest Jefferson Street near Stuart Road in Lee’s Summit.
Peace Partnership and KC Mavericks Help Support Kids in Need
Peace Partnership, a nonprofit organization providing free in-school counseling for at-risk students, will be selling $20 tickets to the Kansas City Mavericks’ home opener at the Silverstein Eye Center Arena on Friday, October 12th as they begin their 10th season as Kansas City’s hockey team. The Mavericks will donate $7 of every ticket back to Peace Partnership to help provide healing and hope to kids in need.
Peace Partnership is passionate about providing the highest quality counseling services at the lowest possible cost for at-risk families and children in our community. Many families are left will little hope in finding quality care for their children due to the high cost of traditional counseling. Peace Partnership provides counseling services as low as $5 session at their office located on Woods Chapel Road. They also provide support to students in their own schools through weekly individual counseling services, completely free of charge to the student.
