Spring is here, and I am more than ready to get out and enjoy the outdoors. I openly embrace the upcoming season of shuffling kids to soccer, baseball and track which lends itself to spending a great deal of time outside in the fresh air. Aside from the early morning spring soccer games that can be painfully cold at times, I love the start of our spring activities.
Our family loves to camp, hike, bike, fish and explore, so finding pockets of time to be able to do that is always a priority for us. There are so many diverse spots around Lee’s Summit to hike, camp or spend time on the water, each with their perks. We have narrowed down our list of favorite spots and trails to visit and explore, but it is always fun to try something new and keeps it interesting.
For our April issue, we wanted to share with you some of the ways our neighbors are getting out and enjoying the outdoors. We included a little bit of everything from camping to volunteering to beekeeping to gardening to being eco-friendly. We would love to hear about your favorite spots to explore and enjoy nature, volunteer or your local favorite eco-friendly projects, so drop me an email or share with it us on Facebook or Instagram so we can share it with the community.
Here’s to a beautiful spring!
